For van converters · RV manufacturers · Off-grid electrical installers

Plan a battery-powered kitchen around the complete 48V system.

Joelwave offers single- and two-zone DC induction cooktops for campervan and RV projects. Evaluate battery compatibility, mounting and real electrical demand before committing to a production configuration.

For project-specific evaluation. No third-party certification currently available.

From an electrical brief to a test installation.

Van conversion workshops

Match the galley footprint, counter cut-out, ventilation and service access to the approved single- or two-zone drawing.

RV OEM and private-label teams

Discuss glass branding, control layout, wiring, connectors and packaging after defining the battery architecture, destination market and expected volume.

Off-grid power integrators

Evaluate direct-DC cooking in a complete load budget. A portable power station with only an AC outlet is not evidence of a compatible DC connection.

Actual DC supply display showing 50.5V and 33.7A during the single-zone test
Original video evidence, not a simulated reading

50.5V. 33.7A. About 1.70kW input.

At the 1500W display setting, one single-zone sample recorded approximately 1702W electrical input. Compare all 10 settings and the original footage before evaluating a sample for your installation.

The reading is not measured heat output, average cooking consumption or a universal maximum current. The control setting is not interchangeable with the electrical input.

Choose the configuration around the installation.

48V two-zone2500W total; up to 1500W with one zone alone290 × 520 × 85 mm270 × 500 mm · 80 mm depth

Nominal ratings describe the configuration and are separate from the single-sample electrical input observations. Use the approved model drawing and specification for final design. The single-zone video does not verify two-zone load behavior.

Send a complete integration brief.

  1. LiFePO4 bank configuration, real charging/discharging voltage range and usable energy
  2. BMS continuous and transient current limits, charging architecture and simultaneous loads
  3. Single-zone or two-zone operation, cookware and representative cooking cycles
  4. Approved cut-out and mounting drawing, ventilation clearance and cabinet temperature
  5. Cable route and length, rated connectors, DC protection and disconnect approved for the installation
  6. Vehicle vibration, mounting security, destination requirements and the agreed sample acceptance criteria

No third-party certification is currently available. Final installation, electrical safety and destination-market compliance require project-specific assessment. The cooktop is not presented as a weatherproof outdoor appliance; exposed or wet use requires separate validation.

Clarify the project before choosing a sample.

Will it fit every nominal 48V LiFePO4 system?

No automatic compatibility should be assumed. The rated 48V product has a confirmed 36–60V operating window, but actual battery voltage, BMS current, protection, wiring and cooling must still be reviewed. The video test covers only one sample near 50.5V.

Can I evaluate one sample before an OEM order?

Sample options can be discussed after confirming battery and BMS details, installation space, destination and intended load. Standard production MOQ is 100 units; normal production is approximately 15 days after order and configuration confirmation.

How long will it run from my battery?

Runtime requires usable battery watt-hours and measured average electrical load during a representative cooking cycle. Instantaneous current and the control display setting alone are insufficient for a reliable runtime promise.

Do I still need an inverter in the campervan?

A compatible direct-DC cooktop does not require an AC inverter to supply that appliance. Other AC loads may still require an inverter. Compare the full vehicle electrical architecture rather than removing equipment solely because one appliance is DC.
