Two gas water heaters with the same litre rating can contain different heat exchangers, burner segmentation, valves, sensors, fans, control boards and safety logic. Importers should convert the intended market and user conditions into a controlled specification before comparing quotations.

1. Translate the market into an appliance specification

Begin with destination country, gas family and pressure, voltage and plug, expected inlet-water temperature, required flow, installation environment and local compliance pathway. Then define capacity, heat input, temperature range, minimum starting pressure, exhaust type and user interface.

Joelwave currently supports 10 L, 12 L, 13 L and 16 L constant-temperature platforms in LPG or natural-gas configurations. Standard MOQ is 100 units and normal production is approximately 30 days after confirmation.

2. Lock the component architecture

The heat exchanger, burner, water–gas valve, flow sensor, fan, controller, igniter and display must work as a matched system. Changing one part to reduce cost can alter ignition, temperature stability, noise or low-water-pressure performance.

3. Separate certification claims from project reality

CE or CCC availability should be linked to an exact model and configuration. A certificate from a visually similar appliance is not automatically evidence for a changed gas train, control system or destination-market version.

For the EU, Regulation (EU) 2016/426 provides the legal framework for placing gas appliances and fittings on the market. Buyers should confirm the applicable conformity-assessment route and documentation with qualified specialists before ordering.

4. Inspect the functions that create customer complaints

A practical inspection plan checks model identity, appearance, wiring, ignition, flame stability, water and gas connections, temperature control, low-flow behavior, display, noise, included parts, labels, manual, packaging and loading evidence. Test conditions and acceptable results should be written before inspection.
